These devices allow students to practice math skills in an interactive and engaging way using educational apps that provide immediate feedback and individualized support. Students can work through problems step-by-step, receive instant corrections, and build confidence as they master new concepts. The stylus pens are especially helpful because they allow students to write directly on the screen, just as they would on paper, making it easier to show their work, solve equations, and practice important skills like place value, multi-step problem solving, and math fluency.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is being able to use the iPads as a hands-on learning tool that makes math feel more fun and accessible. They are highly motivated when using the stylus to solve problems, complete interactive activities, and participate in math centers. The protective cases ensure the devices are safe and easy for students to handle, giving them confidence to use the technology independently. Students look forward to their turn using the iPads, and it has quickly become one of their favorite parts of math class.\r\n\r\nThese iPads have been especially beneficial for students who need extra practice or who learn best through visual and hands-on experiences. Some students who previously felt frustrated or unsure during math activities are now more engaged and willing to try, because the technology provides support in a way that feels encouraging rather than intimidating. The ability to work at their own pace and receive immediate feedback has helped build both their skills and their confidence. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our donors, as these iPads, cases, and stylus pens are helping our students develop essential math skills and a greater love of learning.","fullyFundedDate":1768489232687,"projectUrl":"project/show-your-thinking-mobile-math-with-ipa/10002291/","projectTitle":"Show Your Thinking: Mobile Math With iPads","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Huck","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3511523_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1504709340701","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mary-huck"},{"teacherId":1539601,"projectId":9641435,"letterContent":"Volleyballs are fundamental to learning the sport, as every skill, from the serve to the spike, requires interaction with the ball. Students develop essential physical and mental attributes such as hand-eye coordination, agility, reaction time, and court awareness by repetitively practicing with the ball. The ball forces players to make quick decisions, communicate with teammates, and learn proper biomechanics for passing, setting, and hitting, which builds muscle strength and memory. Without a ball, these critical, real-time game skills and physical developments would be impossible to practice and master.\r\nHaving an adequate supply of volleyballs is excellent for the team because it allows for more efficient and effective practice sessions. More balls mean more quality repetitions per player without the frequent interruption of shagging (retrieving) them, which is a significant time-waster with limited equipment. This abundance ensures that every student, regardless of their skill level, can get consistent touches on the ball, accelerating individual skill development and building the confidence needed to perform under pressure. It also enables coaches to run multiple simultaneous drills, fostering a dynamic and engaging practice environment where players are constantly active and improving.\r\nPlayers like new volleyball equipment, such as a fresh set of high-quality balls, because it can significantly enhance their performance and the overall playing experience. Modern, well-maintained balls offer a reliable grip, consistent flight patterns, and predictable performance, which allows for greater control and precision during play. The tactile feel of new equipment can also be a psychological boost, as it often feels more responsive and of higher quality than worn-out or older balls. This enhanced feel and consistent performance enable players to focus on executing their technique effectively, which ultimately helps minimize errors and elevates their game to new heights.","fullyFundedDate":1757015404235,"projectUrl":"project/volley-ball-time/9641435/","projectTitle":"VOLLEY BALL TIME","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. TerHaar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1539601_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1495823584564","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-terhaar"},{"teacherId":3527156,"projectId":9630730,"letterContent":"Our students are absolutely loving the new cornhole boards and pickleball nets that your generous donation made possible! During our Team Time activity, these additions have completely transformed our time. Students are learning new skills, building teamwork, and showing great sportsmanship while playing. It's been incredible to watch them cheer one another on, celebrate small victories, and stay active in a fun and inclusive way.\r\n\r\nThe first day we brought out the new equipment, the excitement was contagious! Students immediately formed teams, set up their own tournaments, and even created their own friendly \"house rules.\" Many of them had never played pickleball or cornhole before, so it's been a great opportunity to introduce new games that encourage physical activity, coordination, and cooperation.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we plan to keep using these resources during Team Time to promote teamwork and healthy habits. Students have already started brainstorming new ways to use the equipment — from organizing mini competitions to tracking progress in skill challenges. We have spent this school year learning about various ancient civilizations and one thing that many had in common was their use of mosaics.
