We use the new flexible seating options every single day during reading groups, math rotations, independent work, and even partner activities. One of my favorite moments was during small-group reading: a student who typically struggles to stay focused chose a wobble seat, settled right in, and stayed engaged for the entire lesson. It was such a simple change, but it made a big difference in attention.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new seating, their reactions were priceless — wide eyes, excited whispers, and lots of careful exploring. They immediately understood that these seats were something special and treated them with respect. Many students told me they felt \"more comfortable\" or that it helped them \"focus better,\" which was incredibly meaningful to hear from such young learners.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, the next steps for our students include building stronger independence and self-regulation skills. They are learning to choose seating that best supports their learning and to reflect on what helps them do their best work. As we continue our current lessons in reading and math, the flexible seating allows students to collaborate, move when needed, and stay engaged for longer periods of time. Your contribution didn't just provide furniture. It created an environment where students feel empowered, comfortable, and ready to learn every day.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving us a little piece of your heart and for making our classroom a place where all learners can thrive 💙","fullyFundedDate":1765764406162,"projectUrl":"project/wiggle-and-learn/9907029/","projectTitle":"Wiggle and Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arnold","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10005078_orig.jpg?crop=1241,1241,x940,y1724&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752801491073","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10005078"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40563","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":380,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":70,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.2,"schoolId":40563,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Garth Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Garth Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/scott-county-schools/garth-elementary-school/40563"}
