The books you provided have become so much more than new titles on our shelves. They have opened doors for my students. They have given them characters to connect with, stories they cannot wait to discuss, and the kind of quiet confidence that only comes from finally feeling like a reader. These texts have helped us explore skills that are essential for strong literacy, like understanding characters on a deeper level, finding themes that matter, and using evidence to support our thinking. You have given my students the chance to grow in ways that will stay with them far beyond this school year.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom feels alive. Students curl up with books during independent reading time, share sticky note thoughts with partners, and lean into our discussions with genuine excitement. They laugh at the funny moments, gasp during the surprising ones, and hurry over to my desk asking to read just one more chapter. They recommend books to each other, celebrate when they finish a novel, and proudly place their favorites on our classroom display. The room feels warm, connected, and full of possibility because these books have become part of our daily routine and part of our classroom family.\r\n\r\nSome of the greatest changes I have seen are in my most hesitant readers. One student who used to avoid reading now walks into the room asking if it is time to read yet. Another who rarely finished a chapter book is already deep into her second novel from our collection and loves sharing what she thinks might happen next. Even my strongest readers feel challenged and inspired by having fresh, engaging stories to explore. These books have created moments of joy, belonging, and success for children who truly needed them. Your support has changed them. It has given them confidence, comfort, and a sense of pride in their reading that I could not have created alone. Thank you for believing in my students and for helping them discover the kind of magic that only a book can bring.","fullyFundedDate":1755740086059,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-building-futures/9393778/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages, Building Futures","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Webb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10048787_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748950498675","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10048787"},{"teacherId":10048787,"projectId":9392326,"letterContent":"Receiving the class set of Holes has had such a positive impact on my reading classes. For the first time this year, every student has their own copy in hand, and it has completely changed the level of engagement. Instead of sharing or relying on me to read aloud, they are able to follow along, annotate, and truly interact with the text. This ownership has built excitement—students come in ready to read, eager to turn the page, and motivated to keep up with the story. Having a personal copy has also made it easier to support comprehension and fluency because students can track words, reread sections, and connect more deeply with the plot and characters.\r\n\r\nThe excitement around Holes has created a shared classroom experience that has carried over into discussion and writing. Students are talking about the book outside of reading time, making predictions, and even comparing their ideas with one another. I've noticed stronger participation during class conversations and more thoughtful responses in their reading journals. Simply having their own books has sparked a sense of responsibility and pride in their learning, and it's making reading a much more enjoyable and meaningful experience for everyone.","fullyFundedDate":1748921755083,"projectUrl":"project/class-set-of-holes-by-louis-sachar/9392326/","projectTitle":"Class Set of Holes by Louis Sachar","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Webb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10048787_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748950498675","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10048787"},{"teacherId":9059314,"projectId":9166199,"letterContent":"Thanks again for your valued contribution to my students. By doing this you have enabled me to provide a designated space so that my students can practice self-calming strategies and regulate emotions. This equipment has provided an opportunity to build independence and improve self regulation. Many students are now beginning to request to use this resource when needed. \r\n\r\nChallenging behaviors are decreasing in our classroom as a result of this also. This space is giving them a choice and prevents power struggles throughout the day, decreasing meltdowns. This eliminates many distractions during instructional sessions and helps to provide a learning and engaging environment that meets the needs of each student. \r\n\r\nThe students truly enjoy their time using the resources for our calm down corner. I would like for the students to become aware and be able to realize when they truly need to use the calm down corner and be able to request, even if using a visual, for a break and then learn to rejoin independently once regulated.","fullyFundedDate":1751730809029,"projectUrl":"project/promoting-self-regulation-in-a-moderate/9166199/","projectTitle":"Promoting Self Regulation in a Moderate to Severe Disability Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clevinger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9059314"},{"teacherId":8584691,"projectId":7896602,"letterContent":"When the resources from this project arrived, my students' excitement was immediate and contagious. The portable whiteboard easel quickly became one of the most-used tools in our room. We've used it for group brainstorming sessions, collaborative writing activities, and even quick grammar games. Its mobility has allowed us to bring the \"workspace\" to wherever it's needed—whether that's in a small group in the corner or the center of the room for a whole-class discussion. This flexibility has made writing lessons more interactive and has helped even my quieter students feel comfortable sharing their ideas.\r\n\r\nThe high-quality pens and pencils have also had a surprisingly big impact. Students no longer have to worry about broken pencils, dried-out pens, or missing supplies, which means they can stay focused on the task at hand. Having access to reliable, comfortable writing tools has boosted their willingness to write and encouraged them to take more pride in their work. I've seen a noticeable improvement in participation, collaboration, and the overall atmosphere during writing activities. This project has not only equipped us with essential tools but has also helped build a stronger culture of engagement, creativity, and confidence in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1696205074383,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-supplies-to-support-engagement/7896602/","projectTitle":"Classroom Supplies to Support Engagement","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Traci Fields","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8584691_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660180479539","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8584691"},{"teacherId":8584691,"projectId":7836165,"letterContent":"When our materials arrived, my students were so excited—they immediately started opening boxes, asking questions, and exploring everything we received.
