Middle school students are still learning how to manage personal care, and many simply forget these items or do not have the financial means to purchase them. Having these products available discreetly helped students maintain their dignity, confidence, and comfort throughout the school day. Instead of feeling embarrassed or distracted, students were able to stay present, engaged, and focused on learning.\r\n\r\nYour support also made it possible for students to use headphones, which transformed how they accessed learning. Students were able to engage with video labs, digital simulations, and research at their own pace while listening to music that helped them concentrate. This not only supported different learning styles, but also reflected a more modern, student-centered classroom environment—one where students felt trusted, comfortable, and motivated to learn in ways that work best for them.\r\n\r\nThese resources did more than enhance instruction — they removed barriers. Students who may have felt unprepared or left behind were given the tools they needed to participate fully and confidently. The result was a classroom culture built on respect, focus, and belonging.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students experienced a powerful message:\r\nYour needs matter. You are supported. You deserve to learn without obstacles.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and for helping create a classroom where learning, confidence, and care go hand in hand.","fullyFundedDate":1758282911305,"projectUrl":"project/our-scientists/9473306/","projectTitle":"Our Scientists","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10082581_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753098021201","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10082581"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_132541","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":280,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":92,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":88,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":2,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":132541,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hudson Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hudson Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/jefferson-county-public-schools/hudson-middle-school/132541"}
