The woodwinds were thrilled to get fresh, high-quality reeds to keep their instruments sounding great, while the brass players immediately put the new valve oil and slide care kits to work to keep their horn keys and slides moving smoothly. Our percussion section was equally excited to dive into the new gear and accessories, which have added so much energy and color to our music!\r\n\r\nHaving proper, reliable equipment allows all of our students and sections to focus on learning music at a high level without being held back by worn-out gear. All of the students have already benefited and enjoyed making music with the equipment and resources we were able to purchase. \r\nIt is always a special moment when I can share with the students the resources that have come in and show them everything that we were able to purchase. The woodwinds cheered for new reeds so they can trade them out with the old ones, the percussion were excited to see a real trap table that allows them to hold their equipment during performances, and the trombones very quickly began using the new slide cream and oil to ensure they could transition quickly between notes. \r\nAll students and sections of the band program are thankful to be given new equipment that allows them to continue learning music at a high level. The students have been hard at work preparing for our winter concert and one main reason they have been able to do so is because of the equipment and materials you were able to supply. The flutes are using the thumb guards to improve beginning technique, the brass instruments have stayed in better shape with good oil to keep the valves moving efficiently, and the percussion have definitely enjoyed the new toys! \r\nThis has been a big year for our double reed instruments, and the ability to keep reeds safe using the oboe and bassoon Reeds and cases has been instrumental in making that happen! The students were very thankful to get new reeds and have a place to store them safely! \r\nWe are so appreciative of your continued support!
