Every item you donated—from the mini trampolines to the marble maze mat—has found a home with purpose, and the transformation has already been powerful.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment happened the day the mini trampolines and pogo stick jumpers arrived. Students couldn't believe they were really for them! One student said with amazement, \"We get to use these at school?\" There was laughter, excitement, and immediate movement—kids jumping, bouncing, and smiling, followed by a noticeably calmer and more focused return to their classrooms. It was a perfect example of how short, intentional movement breaks can make a big difference.\r\n\r\nThe sensory swing, cube chair, and wobble stools have become favorite spots for students who need just a moment to regulate and reset. Rather than leaving the classroom for extended periods, they now have tools close by to help them return to learning quickly and calmly. The sensory fidget tools, kinetic sand, and multiplication pop-its are being used right at students' desks—quietly helping them stay focused while learning. It's amazing how such small tools can make such a big impact.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping us meet students' needs in real time—supporting their emotional regulation, improving attention, and enhancing brain development. As we know from research, movement and sensory input release dopamine, which supports clearer thinking and improved focus. With your help, we are minimizing missed instructional time and maximizing learning moments.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to teach students how to monitor and manage their own needs using these tools—making self-regulation part of their everyday learning experience. We're empowering them to recognize when they need a break, what tool works best for them, and how to re-engage in learning with confidence.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart—thank you. These donations are more than supplies. They are a daily reminder to my students that they matter, and that their success is worth investing in.","fullyFundedDate":1739298413551,"projectUrl":"project/providing-an-outlet-for-excess-energy-to/8890575/","projectTitle":"Providing an Outlet for Excess Energy to Enhance Academic Performance","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Paige","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9471310_orig.jpg?crop=1760,1760,x160,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729277058702","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9471310"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_41658","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":329,"numTeachers":28,"percentFrplEligible":91,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":57.7,"schoolId":41658,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Wingo Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Wingo Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/graves-county-school-district/wingo-elementary-school/41658"}
