When the boxes arrived, my students could hardly contain their excitement. They loved unpacking the Ticonderoga pencils, the graph paper, the Paper Mate erasers, and the colorful Expo markers. As soon as we finished unpacking, we used the new supplies to work on our unit on linear equations. The students loved the graph paper because it helped them to clearly plot and see the relationship between the slopes and intercepts. They also appreciated the dispenser pencil and erasers as everything was kept organized. Even the new dry erase markers and wipes enhanced our class time. Students loved the new markers because they could confidently work out problems on the board and the clean-up was quick and easy.\r\n\r\nIntroducing the Pup Go 4 in a Row games was one of my favorite memories. Some students were surprised to see a game, but was quickly understood how it could be used in practicing math and other logical skills. The laughter and the energy spent in building their number sense was rewarding. Thank you for being the kind of donors who support the joy of learning. The bulletin board roll and glue sticks also helped in turning our math wall into a vibrant, interactive space where students exuberantly showcase their work.","fullyFundedDate":1756616757216,"projectUrl":"project/equipped-to-learn-math-edition/9446323/","projectTitle":"Equipped to Learn: Math Edition","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10070860_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1751733012203","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mhillclassroom"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_57943","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1754,"numTeachers":92,"percentFrplEligible":60,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":84,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"19.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":68.8,"schoolId":57943,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Daviess County High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Daviess County High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kentucky/daviess-county-public-school-district/daviess-co-high-school/57943"}
