Your gift not only supports individual students in their moments of need but also helps the entire class stay focused and engaged in learning.\r\n\r\nThe calming corner has become a safe place where students feel seen and cared for. I love that students have a space that allows them to stay in the classroom, so they don't miss out on instruction. \r\n\r\nThe students were extremely excited to see the calming corner for the first time. They were very eager to look at the variety of fidgets and sensory items. My students are loving getting to use headphones during class time. The use of this technology is helping my students learn tremendously. My students are able to listen to and watch assigned science videos at their own pace. It also gives them the ability to pause and re-watch important concepts. The use of headphones is also very beneficial to my special needs students. When working on on-line assignments, they use the headphones to allow educational programs to read the content for them, thus meeting the requirements of their Individualized Education Plan.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting thing for my students when we use the headphones is they can work at their own pace.
