We will be using them daily to take structured notes and assemble interactive graphic organizers for each unit. Having a single, reliable space for their thoughts and assignments will help students stay organized, build strong study habits, and take real pride in their academic growth throughout the year.\r\n\r\nYour kindness and generosity directly impact my students' daily learning experience, ensuring they have the essential tools they need to succeed. Since these notebooks were introduced, students now have a structured routine for note taking and collecting valuable information in class. These practices are preparing our students for the future, where they can utilize these work and study habits in middle school.\r\n\r\nThe interactive notebooks have now expanded opportunities for various styles of learning, allowing for both written and visual representations of key science skills and ideas. With a large population of English Language Learners at our school, this expansion in learning has been very impactful. All of our students have been able to engage in labs and online inquiries, and keep all of their learning housed in one central location.\r\n\r\nStudents have been able to use background knowledge and build connections between content taught in various units, by having essential components readily accessible to them on a daily basis. They are building positive study habits by referring back to their notebooks to guide their thinking and focus their attention. They're able to refer to graphics, and visuals to deepen their understanding of science and the world around them. Kids are able to explore their world in a deeper way, strengthening their knowledge of our planet, how it works, and how we impact it. \r\n\r\nWe are grateful for the opportunity to enhance student learning.","fullyFundedDate":1765202530148,"projectUrl":"project/6th-grade-interactive-science-notebooks/9947307/","projectTitle":"6th Grade Interactive Science Notebooks","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Latimer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10324392_orig.jpg?crop=634,634,x0,y308&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764955110401","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10324392"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98750","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":299,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":79,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":50,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":7,"gradesServed":"6 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"15.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":66.7,"schoolId":98750,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Turner Sixth Grade Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Turner Sixth Grade Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/turner-unified-school-district-202/turner-early-learning-center/98750"}
