They kept looking at me with wide eyes, almost like they were asking, \"Is this really for us?\" When I told them that everything was ours and that it would not be going away, they jumped up, hugged each other, and kept saying, \"Thank you, thank you!\" It was such a joyful and emotional moment that I will never forget.\r\n\r\nI teach students with a wide range of disabilities, and many of them struggle daily with regulation, focus, communication, and fine motor skills the new classroom resources changed the entire atmosphere of our educational space. Our classroom now provides students with a calming space where they can fulfill their sensory requirements in a secure manner. Our classroom provides students with flexible seating options and movement equipment which enables them to move freely between different activities without creating disturbances in their study process. The students who previously faced challenges with body control now use effective methods to manage their physical needs which enables them to continue studying their current material. \r\n\r\nThe calming area we created has become the most effective tool for our classroom space. The students who experience anxiety or overstimulation now understand how to select tools which help them to return to their normal state. We read our new books during morning meetings to discuss emotions while learning about proper methods to show our feelings. The students now use words to express their emotions instead of withdrawing from social interactions while displaying aggressive behavior. The students now practice social check-ins with their peers to provide assistance when needed. \r\n\r\nThe hands-on materials have also strengthened academic skills. Students are developing their pencil grasp skills together with handwriting skills and fine motor skills. The learning experience has become interactive and supportive so now students participate more during lessons. I have already seen growth in attention span, independence, and confidence. Students who once avoided tasks are now proud of their progress and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nThe progress I am observing now holds meaning but our team must still accomplish its objectives. These materials function as educational supplies but they serve as essential tools which enable my students to develop critical life skills such as self-regulation and communication and perseverance. Your kindness has created an environment where my students experience both value and support and self-belief.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in my classroom and in my students. Your kindness has created a safe space where children with all types of disabilities can learn, grow, and thrive.
