This is 6th-10th grade! What an amazing unintentional benefit to adding some hands on learning! \r\nWe have also already worked together throughout ALL of my class periods to assemble one of the puzzles. This has really been an amazing treat. We are going to set up the coding robot next week after homecoming festivities. Thank you so much for these amazing treats to have in the classroom. My name is Jalynn Guiot, and I am a dedicated middle school teacher at Humboldt Middle School. Every day, I have the privilege of working with an incredible group of students who are curious, creative, and full of potential. However, as you may know, providing a rich educational experience often comes with challenges, particularly in ensuring that every student has access to the resources they need to thrive. As an English Language Arts teacher, I have the added challenge of instilling a love of reading in young readers who are often reluctant due to years of academic pressure. \r\n\r\nYour generosity helped bridge that gap. Donations to our classroom equipping them with a variety of high interest novels. These resources not only enhance their learning but also foster their confidence and excitement for school.\r\n\r\nFor example, with access to novel sets students can strengthen their literacy skills while discovering stories that inspire them and prolong their reading experience. Providing novel sets makes abstract concepts tangible and spark curiosity about the world around them.\r\n\r\nYour contribution goes far beyond materials—it creates opportunities. It shows my students that their education matters and that their dreams are worth investing in. With your support, we nurture a classroom environment where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of achieving greatness.\r\n\r\nThank you for this opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of our students. Together, we can help them build a brighter future.","fullyFundedDate":1730733505255,"projectUrl":"project/book-talks/8675595/","projectTitle":"Book Talks","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guiot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9688555"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56479","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":144,"numTeachers":7,"percentFrplEligible":50,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":86,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":56479,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Humboldt Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Humboldt Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/humboldt-unified-school-district-258/humboldt-middle-school/56479"}
