The snacks and supplies you provided helped us create a welcoming, safe space where middle school girls feel comfortable showing up, speaking up, and supporting one another.\r\n\r\nWe use the supplies during every meeting—students enjoy snacks as we gather, talk, and work through activities together. One of our first projects was creating vision boards and goal-setting posters, using the colorful poster boards while discussing leadership, confidence, and future goals. Having snacks available may seem small, but it makes a huge difference—students are more relaxed, focused, and willing to engage after a long school day.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. Several girls commented that it felt \"special\" and like this club was something just for them. For some students, this is the only after-school activity they participate in, so knowing they are welcomed and cared for means everything.\r\n\r\nNext, we are continuing lessons focused on self-confidence, service, and leadership skills, including planning a small service project and welcoming guest speakers from the community. The supplies you funded allow us to keep the momentum going and ensure every student feels included and valued.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in these young women. Your support is helping them grow into confident leaders who believe their voices and goals matter.","fullyFundedDate":1764705789607,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-purpose-supplies-snacks-for-y/9667415/","projectTitle":"Fueling Purpose: Supplies & Snacks for Young Women Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clark","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5206193_orig.jpg?crop=489,489,x523,y317&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1638548451622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-dclark"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_56790","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":541,"numTeachers":53,"percentFrplEligible":45,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":47,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"10.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":11.6,"schoolId":56790,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Fort Riley Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Fort Riley Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/kansas/geary-county-unified-school-district-475/ft-riley-middle-school/56790"}
