I received a Donor's Choose gift card with your donation. I was able to purchase many supplemental materials to match my curriculum and instruction while improving students' reading and writing skills.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, I found fluency triangles to match the lessons I teach for foundational skills. I put these in folders and we use them as a warm up for small group reading time. The \"triangles\" are a repeated reading strategy for improving comprehension, but also follow our scope and sequence with foundational skills. The kids really enjoy these and are an easy to use practice. \r\n\r\nI also purchased a set of phonics aligned mazes. Kids have to use the assigned phonics skill to practice reading words, while finding their way through a maze. My students think these are fun and I was able to add them to our word work center for more engagement.\r\n\r\nMy final purchase with the gift card was a set of grade level seasonal writing prompts to use for a writing center. Writing is hard for students, especially when given such open ended, broad topics. With this set of materials, I have seasonal prompts for kids to choose to write about. The set also includes checklists to work on proof reading and revising.
