The resources you provided have already made a huge impact on my students. We've been using the materials daily, and it has completely transformed the way they engage with their learning.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far happened during a recent project. We were working on our BizTown lessons, and students were using the new supplies to organize their business plans and create visual displays. The level of collaboration and excitement in the room was incredible—students were leaning in, sharing ideas, and taking real ownership of their work. It was one of those moments where you could just feel their confidence growing.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials, their faces lit up. They were so excited to explore everything, and many of them said things like, \"This is going to make our projects so much easier!\" and \"I can't wait to start using this!\" It truly felt like Christmas morning.\r\n\r\nAs for what's next, we are continuing to build on our current projects. Students are diving deeper into understanding how businesses work, preparing for upcoming simulations, and using the new resources to support their writing, research, and problem-solving. Your support has given them tools that will continue to elevate their learning throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom and believing in my students. Your generosity is making a real difference every day.","fullyFundedDate":1757423315377,"projectUrl":"project/fun-seating/9618018/","projectTitle":"Fun Seating!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wright","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9037722_orig.jpg?crop=1372,1372,x217,y135&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1686502801345","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9037722"},{"teacherId":9037722,"projectId":9200177,"letterContent":"When my students first walked into the classroom and saw the flexible seating options, their faces instantly lit up with excitement. Many rushed to try out the flexible seating options. The energy in the room shifted immediately—students were talking about where they felt most comfortable learning and were eager to start their work. During a group reading activity, I noticed students naturally spreading out, some choosing to sit close together to collaborate while others found quiet spaces where they could focus independently. It was a powerful moment to see them taking ownership of their learning environment and feeling empowered to make choices that worked best for them.\r\n\r\nSince introducing flexible seating, my students and I have used it to support a variety of projects, from math station rotations to independent writing workshops. Recently, during a writing assignment where students were drafting personal narratives, many chose different seating options to match their creative process—some curled up with clipboards on stools, while others sat at the small group table to spread out their notes. Their engagement and focus were noticeably stronger, and the quality of their work reflected it. Moving forward, we'll be using our flexible seating during an upcoming research project, where students will need both independent work time and collaboration opportunities. Thanks to these new resources, my classroom feels more like a community space where every student can learn in a way that best fits them.","fullyFundedDate":1746489353887,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-fun/9200177/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wright","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9037722_orig.jpg?crop=1372,1372,x217,y135&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1686502801345","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9037722"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_19495","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":429,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":36,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":91,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"25.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":19495,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thorntown Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Thorntown Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/western-boone-county-community-school-district/thorntown-elementary-school/19495"}
