This resource has had an immediate and exciting impact on our students' learning. Many of our donors may be familiar with technology as entertainment at home, but Generation Genius shows students how technology can be a powerful learning tool in the classroom. The videos break down complex science topics in a way that is fun, clear, and age-appropriate, helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing facts.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students the most are the engaging videos themselves. They love the energetic presenters, real-world connections, and clear explanations of science concepts across a wide variety of topics. Beyond the videos, each lesson includes quizzes and vocabulary activities that allow teachers to check for understanding and reinforce key ideas. This makes Generation Genius a great tool not only for introducing new topics, but also for reviewing material and giving students another way to absorb information.\r\n\r\nOne of the most popular features is the DIY experiment section, where students are shown simple experiments they can try at home or in the classroom. These hands-on activities have been especially meaningful for students who learn best by doing. Some teachers have even incorporated these experiments directly into their lessons, which has helped spark curiosity and deepen student engagement. Students who may have been hesitant or less confident in science have really warmed up to the content, gaining confidence as they see concepts come to life.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our students are more excited about science, more engaged in their learning, and more confident in exploring the world around them. We are truly grateful for your support and the lasting impact this resource is making in our classrooms.","fullyFundedDate":1759423361615,"projectUrl":"project/wlis-loves-generation-genius/9762187/","projectTitle":"WLIS Loves Generation Genius","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Golladay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4511623_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1519003038606","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4511623"},{"teacherId":4511623,"projectId":9075350,"letterContent":"We ended up using the Out of my Mind books a couple of different ways. As a fourth grade, students selected their last book club books. Every book option had been made into a movie. We have done this project for several years and I was so excited to be able to add Out of my Mind to the list this year. Once students read the book, they came (from different 4th grade classrooms) to my room to watch the movie. We had a great discussion about how much better the book was than the movie. We saw a lot more differences than similarities. We also talked about how the characters looked a lot different in our heads when reading.\r\n\r\nWith my own class, I read the book aloud (as I do each year) and had several discussions. The students absolutely loved the book and learned a lot. We are planning to watch the movie this week. It is also my hope to have students from our essential skills class come in and have a discussion about the medi-talker.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support. I look forward to continuing to use one of my favorite books with future students.","fullyFundedDate":1739564139057,"projectUrl":"project/out-of-my-mind-book-vs-movie/9075350/","projectTitle":"Out of My Mind - Book vs Movie","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Golladay","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4511623_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1519003038606","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4511623"},{"teacherId":9799492,"projectId":9021875,"letterContent":"On behalf of West Lafayette Intermediate School, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation of the gift of yoga!
