Many of our donors love to read (and we do, too!), but they may not always see the impact these books have on teaching and learning. In our 6th grade class, each new text becomes a powerful tool for helping students develop essential reading skills. With these books, students are practicing how to identify central themes, analyze characters' motivations, make inferences, and support their thinking with evidence. These skills not only strengthen their reading comprehension but also help them grow as thinkers and communicators.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a lively, interactive experience. Students read independently to build stamina, then come together in small groups or whole-class discussions to share their ideas. We annotate passages, ask questions, and make predictions that deepen our understanding of the story. The new books have added excitement to these routines—students are more eager to open their books, talk about what they're noticing, and challenge themselves with more complex texts. The energy in the room during reading time has grown noticeably since your donation.\r\n\r\nSeveral students, in particular, have been especially enthusiastic about these new additions. Some of my more reluctant readers have connected with characters who feel real and relatable, and they've begun reading with renewed confidence. Meanwhile, students who already loved reading have embraced the opportunity to dive into more challenging stories, often sharing insightful observations with their classmates. Your donation has not only enriched our classroom library but has sparked joy, confidence, and curiosity in our 6th graders—impacting them far beyond the pages of a book. Thank you again for helping fuel their love of reading.","fullyFundedDate":1755711338855,"projectUrl":"project/books-books-books/9257633/","projectTitle":"Books! Books!
