For many of them, this was their first time seeing how a real-world learning tool comes together, and they immediately felt a sense of pride knowing that people cared enough about their learning to make this possible.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, Norbert now has a safe, enriching, and healthy environment, and he has become an even more meaningful part of our classroom learning. Students are using the new habitat to begin structured observation logs, where they will practice close observation, note-taking, and asking scientific questions. This work is directly connected to our Amplify ELA unit on Yellow Fever, as students are learning how scientists and researchers observe, document, and draw conclusions from evidence. Norbert has helped make these abstract research skills concrete and engaging for my students.\r\n\r\nOur next step begins Monday, when students will officially start their observation journals and use Norbert as a living example of how careful observation supports learning and research.
