Through these new texts, my students are learning how to turn pages carefully, recognize familiar letters and words, and make connections between pictures and stories. Each book helps build vocabulary and comprehension as we talk about characters, settings, and emotions. The stories also spark curiosity and imagination, encouraging students to share their thoughts and ideas—important steps toward becoming confident, lifelong readers.\r\nReading time in our classroom is one of the most joyful parts of our day. We gather together for story time, where students listen attentively, ask questions, and even act out parts of the story. During center time, children love exploring books on their own or with a partner, pointing to pictures and pretending to read aloud. These new texts have made our reading corner a favorite spot—bright, cozy, and full of opportunities to learn and grow through stories.\r\nSeveral students have shown a special love for the new books. One child, who was once hesitant to join story time, now eagerly chooses a book to share with the class each morning. Another loves finding animals or colors in the illustrations and proudly names them for friends. These moments remind me how powerful books can be in sparking confidence, language growth, and joy in learning. Thanks to these new resources, reading in our classroom is more engaging, inclusive, and inspiring than ever before.","fullyFundedDate":1759864625036,"projectUrl":"project/reading-essentials/9456080/","projectTitle":"Reading Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tasha","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9899950_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737922166498","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9899950"},{"teacherId":9899950,"projectId":9714576,"letterContent":"The donation to my project has made a wonderful impact on my students. The materials I received are the perfect fit for my three-year-old classroom, providing hands-on learning opportunities that keep them excited and engaged each day. When the new items arrived, my students' faces lit up with excitement—they couldn't wait to explore and play with everything. It was heartwarming to see their curiosity and joy as they began discovering how to use each material.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources daily during our learning centers. The fine motor tools are helping students build strength and coordination in their hands as they scoop, pinch, and thread. During one of our recent activities, the children used the new manipulatives to build towers and sort objects by color and size. It was wonderful to watch them problem-solve together, share ideas, and celebrate their creations.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using these materials to support our ongoing lessons on shapes, counting, and teamwork. The resources are helping my students develop independence and confidence as learners, and I can't wait to see how they continue to grow. The cushions for circle time were an instant favorite—students rushed to choose their spots and were eager to settle in for stories, songs, and morning meetings. Having a comfortable, inviting circle area has helped create a calm and focused space where every child feels included. The mailbox system has also been a wonderful addition; students love checking their \"mail\" at the end of the day, and it has helped them build responsibility as they collect and take home their important work. The clear tubs have made such a difference in organizing our toys and supplies, giving students easy access and helping them practice independence by cleaning up and making thoughtful choices about what to play with.\r\n\r\nOne special moment came during circle time when we read a story about community helpers. With their new cushions, students were more settled and attentive, and they eagerly shared their thoughts after the story. Later, they carried this excitement into free choice time, where the clear tubs made it easy to find the props they wanted to act out different community helper roles. The organization and comfort created by these resources have directly supported their ability to stay engaged and work together.\r\n\r\nAs a next step, we'll be using the mailbox system as part of a writing project where students create \"letters\" and drawings to share with classmates and families. The clear tubs will also continue to support rotating learning centers, giving students independence as they choose materials for math, science, and pretend play. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom is more organized, comfortable, and full of meaningful learning opportunities.","fullyFundedDate":1746785995961,"projectUrl":"project/organization-for-ms-tashas-prek-classr/9086782/","projectTitle":"Organization for Ms. Tasha's PreK classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tasha","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9899950_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737922166498","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9899950"},{"teacherId":9899950,"projectId":9086370,"letterContent":"When our students first opened the boxes and discovered the magnetic monsters, flower shop kit, and snap bots, their faces lit up with excitement. They could hardly wait to dive in and explore each new material. The magnetic monsters became an instant hit, sparking endless creativity as students built imaginative creatures and worked together to design new shapes. The flower shop kit inspired role-playing, storytelling, and fine motor practice as students \"opened\" their own shops, created bouquets, and shared their creations with classmates. The snap bots quickly became a favorite in our STEM center, encouraging problem-solving, persistence, and collaboration as students figured out how to assemble and bring their little robots to life.\r\n\r\nThese resources have added so much hands-on engagement and joy to our classroom. Students are practicing important skills—like teamwork, communication, and critical thinking—while feeling like they're simply playing and creating. The materials have also provided natural opportunities for me to connect lessons across subjects. For example, we paired the flower shop with a math activity on counting and sorting, while the snap bots tied in perfectly with our unit on motion and engineering.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students are eager to continue using these resources as part of larger projects. We're planning a \"community market day,\" where students will set up stations featuring flowers, monster creations, and snap bot demonstrations, giving them the chance to share what they've learned and built with others. Thanks to your generosity, our classroom is now filled with excitement, creativity, and new possibilities for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1746785562102,"projectUrl":"project/manipulative-for-ms-tashas-class/9086370/","projectTitle":"Manipulative for Ms. Tasha's class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tasha","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9899950_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737922166498","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9899950"},{"teacherId":4955288,"projectId":9125065,"letterContent":"Being able to offer my students a choice of healthy snacks makes the end of the day so much better.
