You wouldn't believe what a difference this has made. One of my students, who often struggles to stay focused, now uses the floor seat as a kind of reward for himself. When he stays on track and completes our group lesson, he moves off to a quiet corner with one of the comfy floor seats. It's amazing: he'll dig into his work and stay focused longer than I've ever seen before. The change has been truly noticeable.\r\n\r\nWhen the new seats first arrived, the students were thrilled. They immediately started trying them out, chatting excitedly about where they might sit during independent work time. I saw kids choosing their favorite spot and settling in where they felt most comfortable, and almost right away their work improved. As we begin new math units and more group or independent tasks, I know the flexible seating will continue to help students work more independently, stay on task, and maybe even enjoy math a little more.
