These resources have made an immediate and meaningful impact. In the classroom, I've been using the snacks as part of a positive reinforcement system tied to participation, assignment completion, and demonstration of digital responsibility. During a recent email etiquette and professional communication project, students who submitted thoughtful, well-constructed emails on time were recognized and rewarded. It created an exciting and motivating atmosphere where students were eager to engage, ask questions, and put forth their best effort. With our basketball players, the snacks have supported post-practice recovery and reinforced the importance of nutrition, preparation, and taking care of their bodies.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reaction was genuine excitement and gratitude. Many of them expressed appreciation not only for the snacks themselves but for the fact that someone outside of our school cared enough to invest in them. That moment sparked a powerful conversation about community support, generosity, and paying it forward. It reminded them that their hard work in the classroom and on the court is seen and valued.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, these resources will continue to support both academic and athletic growth. In class, we are transitioning into larger digital communication and productivity projects where students will collaborate, problem-solve, and present their work. The snacks will continue to serve as incentives and support during longer work periods. For our basketball program, we are emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and academic accountability alongside athletic performance. This donation has strengthened our classroom culture and team environment, and we are committed to using it to keep building positive momentum for our students.","fullyFundedDate":1763498718469,"projectUrl":"project/snack-attack-for-scholars/9860639/","projectTitle":"Snack Attack for Scholars","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ashley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10249582"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_20181","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":667,"numTeachers":45,"percentFrplEligible":53,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":43,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":71.8,"schoolId":20181,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Griffith Junior Senior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Griffith Junior Senior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/indiana/griffith-public-school-district/griffith-senior-high-school/20181"}
