The students were all really excited to open up the boxes and to see what was inside. All of my students have enjoyed trying out the different squishy fidgets to see which one they liked the most!! My whole class and I really enjoy the calming koala. The koala helps keep us focused and relaxed!\r\n\r\nMy students utilize the fidgets throughout the day. They are able to work on the different items as a reinforcement tool. My students were really excited to open the boxes and to see all of the fun tie-dye items! My students and I cannot wait to have fun tie-dying our beach towels. We will use the special tie-dye kits and spray bottles, as well as duct tape to work on spelling their names on the towels. Then they will use the spray bottles to tie-dye the towels. \r\nWe will use the special tie-dye towels when we go to the beach in May! We were able to purchase supplies, snacks, and water for 3 events. We also bought organizational bins to keep our supplies for events organized. \r\n\r\nDuring our December event, we gave out gift bags from Santa and Mrs. Claus. The kids were able to use our new markers to color holiday sheets and took a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. \r\n\r\nAt our January event, we played tropical games, had a snack, and took a picture with our buddy. Thanks to the grant, we were able to buy frames and stickers for the February event. We used the pictures we took in January and added them to the frame. Without your support, the completion of this goal wouldn't have been possible. With the items that we received from this project, my class, as well as other students, have been able to work on completing some independent living skills. The students who have been able to use the laundry detergent will work on following the steps in washing laundry in the washing machine. They have been using the dryer sheets to work on drying the clothes. Then they have been working on folding the laundry and putting the items in the laundry basket. The students will use the creamer to help fulfill the orders as well. They will use the coffee cups to make the beverages to deliver. \r\nMy students were very excited to see the boxes come in the mail!
