We use our mailboxes and sensory tools EVERY DAY. \r\n\r\nThe mailboxes have helped keep our classroom neat and orderly. With the help of some binder clips and small labels, the students know exactly which mailbox slot to put their papers in during centers. This has helped them develop independence while also helping me stay organized! Each student also has their own mailbox for their individual papers, which has given them a sense of ownership within our classroom. When students have papers such as drawings or cards they have created for someone, they can put their papers in their designated mailbox. Before, we used a plastic tray for all of our papers, and students much prefer having their own mailbox slot!\r\n\r\nThe students have enjoyed having the mailboxes, however they have absolutely loved the sensory tools that have been added to our classroom. These sensory tools are used in a few different ways. Some of the tools are in our Quiet Corner and used to help calm students down when they are feeling big emotions. Other tools are used to help students reduce fidgeting and increase focus during class. I developed a 'fidget check-out system' so students can check out the fidget that best suits their needs and preferences. It is important to have a variety of sensory tools because different tools work for different students and situations. A big thank you for helping me provide these for the students!\r\n\r\nHaving a more organized classroom and students who are more regulated has helped us accomplish so much this semester! We have added more learning centers, and students have been able to maintain their attention for longer periods of time with the help of the fidgets. Our classroom is running more smoothly thanks to you! You are appreciated!!","fullyFundedDate":1764299214358,"projectUrl":"project/lets-organize-our-thoughts-our-things/9906163/","projectTitle":"Let's Organize Our Thoughts & Our Things!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10354487"},{"teacherId":4896826,"projectId":9153910,"letterContent":"Last Spring, I wrote a project to get items for a new spanish program I just started this Fall.
