I was able to find some interesting online resources for them. The donation of the classroom posters were wonderful. \r\n Once we started the project, there were definitely mixed reviews. Some students found this wonderful, while others were unsure. They were surprised to actually discover bones once they opened up their pellets. I had several students who ended up with a full skeleton once they glued them to their papers. \r\n This was really an awesome experience for my students. If they weren't 100% all in, I think they will remember this experience. Many of them had not even heard of this book before. \r\nIt was very interesting to bring the past to today. I found some wonderful free resources to go with the novel on bringing the past to today. \r\nI love discussing the vocabulary and talking about the characters with my students. \r\nI have a variety of reading levels in my classroom. This book was easy to adapt and find activities to meet all levels. \r\nI use several different types of reading, for example: I have an teacher's aide. Some days we would split the class into 2 groups, some days I did partner reading, some days like on the main discussion days, we did whole group reading.
