My students have been so excited to explore new stories together, especially favorites like 'Mortimer' and 'Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin! 'These books have helped us talk about rhythm, sound, storytelling, and how words and music can work together. They've also opened up great discussions about patience, creativity, and how we can each find our own \"part\" in the larger song of our classroom community. Of course, we've found ways to make it a fun musical moment as well!\r\n\r\nReading time has turned into a joyful routine. Students love picking out books, reading aloud with expression, and sharing which parts made them laugh or think. I've watched even my most hesitant readers light up as they connect with the characters and rhythms in these stories. It's been so heartwarming to see students start to recognize patterns in text, build confidence in their reading voices, and even make up their own musical verses inspired by what we read! You should hear some Kindergarteners bopping to Pete the Cat sometime!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made such a real difference. Because of you, my students see reading as something exciting, creative, and uniquely their own.
