Your kindness and thoughtfulness mean so much—not just to me, but to each and every one of my students.\r\nThese materials are more than just supplies. The books you've provided will open doors to new worlds, ideas, and experiences for my students. Many of them are developing a love of reading, and having access to fresh, engaging stories will help nurture that excitement. I can already picture their eyes lighting up as they dive into these books and discover new characters, adventures, and perspectives.\r\nThe art supplies are just as exciting. With the watercolor paints and textured paper canvases, my students will have the opportunity to explore self-expression in ways they may never have experienced before. Art is such a powerful outlet for emotion, creativity, and personal growth—and now, thanks to your generosity, they'll be able to bring their imaginations to life through painting.\r\nWhat makes this donation even more special is how it allows us to connect reading and art—two powerful forms of expression. After reading a story, students will have the chance to respond creatively through painting, which deepens comprehension and allows for meaningful, personal connections to the material.\r\nYour support is helping to create a richer, more engaging classroom experience. It's gifts like yours that remind us how much of a difference community support can make in the lives of young learners. Students were so excited to see and use such awesome learning material and adaptations that created fun with learning! Learning at a young age requires a lot of material that makes it fun and inviting, Special Education students need that as well if not more and your generosity helped to bridge that gap. Through your kindness and interest in being sure our students had this opportunity they have advanced in their scholastic foundations, developing the desire to continue learning and do well in all that they do. Our classroom now has material that students enjoy using to improve their learning that is inviting and accommodating to all; without your help we would not have been able to make learning as fun as it has been this year. They were excited to open and help me take things out of the shipping boxes!\r\nMy students were thrilled to get new seat storage sacks, and couldn't wait to put them on their chairs and get rid of their old ones. These new ones are a little bigger and easier for them to use, plus are so nice and don't have any tears or holes in them! These use them all though out the day to help stay organized.\r\nOur big book display shelf is very nice and the perfect size. Because it rolls, we can move it to wherever we need to use it, which makes it very convenient. The top lid lifts, to help hold up and display books, which is another aspect we all appreciate. \r\nProbably our favorite item is the Math Stacker Plus Block set. We have a set we use during our morning meeting and calendar time, as well as lots more of them in the mesh storage container. We've used them during both whole and small group math times, as well as centers, and my students even enjoy having them out during inside recess! \r\nThank you so much!","fullyFundedDate":1731511796767,"projectUrl":"project/stack-em-up-and-read/8921961/","projectTitle":"Stack 'Em Up and Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Spann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8998685_orig.jpg?crop=967,967,x0,y19&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1680212134273","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8998685"},{"teacherId":9570647,"projectId":8609679,"letterContent":"Wow - thank you! I had to explain to them that I would need to put the things inside of the boxes together before they'd be able to see and use the new items. They found it hard to wait patiently while it took me several days to get everything put together, but we've definitely enjoyed our new easel and art drying rack.\r\nWe use our easel multiple times each day for various activities. We start our day with morning meeting and it may contain a message, it frequently displays our charts and/or graphs, we use it to help solve math problems, write words or sentences, and we're also able to use it with magnets during centers. (Now that we've been using it for so many things, I don't know how I survived for so many years without it!)\r\nThe art drying rack is also very useful. Students can very easily put their own work on the rack to dry, or even just to move off of their tables and out of the way. It is not too tall for them to see what is on the different shelves when they are trying to find their work, and I also like how it is portable and rolls wherever we need it to go. \r\nDue to the timing of the project, we weren't able to start using our easel and drying rack until after winter break, so I'm certain the rest of the school year will find them both kept very busy with lots of different projects and activities!
