Students use the materials during lessons, transitions, and independent work time. One meaningful moment was seeing a student who typically struggles to stay focused independently choose a sensory tool and successfully complete a task with confidence. These strategies have helped create a calmer, more supportive learning environment where students can access instruction in a way that works best for them.\r\n\r\nStudents were immediately excited and curious when they saw the new sensory resources. Many wanted to try them right away and asked how they could be used during class. The materials made students feel supported and empowered, especially knowing they had options to help their bodies and minds feel ready to learn.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue learning how to independently choose and use sensory strategies that best support their needs. We will incorporate these tools into ongoing lessons, small-group instruction, and self-regulation practice. Over time, students will build greater self-awareness and independence, using these strategies to stay engaged and successful across all areas of learning.
