In our \"pretend play\" station, students role-played as coffee shop owners. They even created their grocery store using thematic props. These activities made language learning meaningful and fun, encouraging natural conversations in both languages.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were thrilled. They eagerly explored the play equipment, connecting them to their home languages and cultures. Their excitement became a collaborative play, fostering confidence and inclusivity as they built their vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThese materials have also allowed me to introduce small motor bins in the mornings. This has enabled students to have a slow start to their mornings. They come in and choose a table toy that helps them create something with other students at their table. This has created a low-stress environment as students walk in and many conversation opportunities.
