It's a nice way to establish team spirit.\r\n\r\nWhile our students haven't earned the quarterly rewards yet, they will soon! Our first quarter ends in the middle of October and our first group of Students of the Quarter will be awarded their animals at that time. The animal pencils and erasers are for motivation during our state testing and we will be giving the little buttons to students for their lanyards closer to Christmas. We're looking forward to spreading the Green Team spirit and positive energy to these great students!\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your part in making this project possible. The use of flexible seating and incorporation of prizes has made a night and day difference in how I run my classroom, how students feel upon entering the room, and it has also been an ENORMOUS motivation piece! \r\n\r\nWe incorporate flexible seating and incentives into our classroom EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! It's actually the first thing my students ask about when they come in!\r\n\r\n At the start of each class, students choose their preferred seating and use it throughout the 80-minute block. These seating options have helped students stay more focused and comfortable during our extended periods. They are always excited to explore different seating choices, although we definitely have some fan favorites!\r\n\r\nAdditionally, students are loving our prize incentives! They earn tickets for positive behaviors such as participating in lessons, helping others, and demonstrating good behavior. Each week, I draw tickets from each class, and students get to pick a prize from the donations you provided. Some of their favorites include lanyards, fidgets, bracelets, desk pets, and colored pens!\r\n\r\nI truly cannot put into words the enormous impact that your generosity has made on myself and my students! We are beyond grateful and blessed. I hope that you understand that this could never have been possible without YOU! Students are excited about the prizes they can earn as they reach their goals and are already working hard at achieving those. We use Class Dojo to track individual and group accomplishments. As students achieve a new goal level, they are able to choose from a variety of prizes at each level. These can be tangible or other rewards like lunch with the teacher, decorate our classroom window, etc. Students love getting to make a prize selection and appreciate the variety of options.\r\n\r\nStudents are also very excited about the new yoga balls!
