Some have never played hopscotch, so they enjoy learning new games. They have been creating dragon eyes. They were encouraged to use a variety of colors and textures to create an original work of art. These were done by my high school class. The clay was air dry clay and the eye is made from a glass circle. The students had to design the eye, glue it to the glass circle and then build the dragon eye around it. The class really enjoyed this project. They are learning to make all sorts of things with the shrunken items. Some students are making jewelry for Mothers Day, while others are making abstract wall hangings and sun catchers. The students are experimenting with the colored shrink film as well as creating their own designs on the clear film. Teaching them creativity is the main goal with this form of art.
