Your generous donation of art supplies will open doors for our young artists to explore their imaginations, build confidence, and engage in meaningful self-expression. Many of our students have limited access to basic materials at home, so having vibrant paints, quality paper, brushes, and other tools in the classroom will make a world of difference. Because of your generous donations, my students have resources to create fun and engaging projects. The students are able to unleash their creativity without the constraints of limited resources. Many of the resources were used to create paper mache pumpkins. The students loved using the paint markers and the paint aprons were great to keep their uniforms nice and clean. Our next project is to create Picasso like sculptures using the Model Magic and materials from the art box. \r\nThese supplies will not only support our visual arts curriculum but also integrate into core subjects, helping students visualize math concepts, illustrate stories, and explore history through creative projects. Your support empowers our students to dream big and feel seen, valued, and inspired every day.\r\nThank you for investing in their creativity and future.","fullyFundedDate":1755715934380,"projectUrl":"project/after-school-artsy-afternoons/9584617/","projectTitle":"After-School Artsy Afternoons","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brown Tucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10173782"},{"teacherId":9637269,"projectId":8595321,"letterContent":"I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our project supporting our students. Your contribution directly funded the purchase of seat pouches, a small but incredibly impactful resource that has made a significant difference in our classroom environment.\r\n\r\nThe seat pouches, which students now use to store their classroom materials, have brought about a noticeable transformation in how our students interact with their schoolwork. By having a dedicated space to keep their personal items—such as notebooks, pencils, and books—students are able to keep their desks neat and organized. This organizational tool has provided them with the ability to quickly access what they need, reducing distractions and improving focus during lessons.\r\n\r\nThis simple yet powerful change has created a more streamlined and efficient learning environment. Our students, once burdened with disorganized materials and the stress of trying to keep track of their belongings, now enjoy a sense of calm and order. This newfound organization has allowed them to direct their mental energy toward engaging with the lessons at hand, rather than worrying about misplaced materials. As a result, students are demonstrating better concentration, a more positive attitude toward schoolwork, and an increased ability to absorb and apply academic concepts.\r\n\r\nYour support has contributed to creating an environment where our students can thrive academically and emotionally. The peace of mind that comes from having their materials organized cannot be overstated. It's truly remarkable how something as simple as a seat pouch can have such a profound impact on a child's learning experience.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and support. You are making a tangible difference in the lives of our students, and for that, we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1732749740052,"projectUrl":"project/organizing-our-books-and-minds/8595321/","projectTitle":"Organizing Our Books and Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mirabile","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9637269_orig.jpg?crop=2723,2723,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760914020590","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9637269"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29463","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":315,"numTeachers":19,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":70,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":25,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.2,"schoolId":29463,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/maywood-melrose-brdview-school-district-89/roosevelt-elementary-school/29463"}
