Your contribution to our project has made a world of difference for both me and my students. The new resources have opened up so many possibilities for our learning experiences.\r\n\r\nFor example, with the new set of interactive math tools, we were able to work on a hands-on geometry project where students had to build 3D shapes using various materials. The excitement in the room was palpable as students got to see abstract concepts come to life before their eyes. I remember one student, who has always struggled with spatial reasoning, suddenly having an \"aha\" moment when they were able to physically manipulate the shapes and understand how the 2D and 3D versions related. It was one of those moments where you could see the light bulb go off in their mind!\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students couldn't contain their excitement. Many of them were eager to jump in and immediately start exploring. They were thrilled to have access to tools that not only made learning more interactive but also made it more relevant to their everyday lives. The enthusiasm was contagious, and we've been incorporating these resources into a variety of lessons, from science experiments to creative writing activities.\r\n\r\nAs for next steps, we are currently working on a project that ties together our reading and art lessons. Students are creating visual representations of themes and characters from a book we're studying, using new drawing and craft supplies you helped provide. I'm excited to see how these creative projects will help them dive even deeper into the material and express their understanding in unique ways.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, my students now have a whole new world of learning at their fingertips, and I can't wait to share more milestones as we continue to explore, create, and grow together!","fullyFundedDate":1732314674985,"projectUrl":"project/illinois-suburb/8861699/","projectTitle":"Illinois Suburb","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Petkute","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9269694_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694270425498","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9269694"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26434","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":331,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":52,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":43,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":42.9,"schoolId":26434,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Emerson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Emerson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/maywood-melrose-brdview-school-district-89/emerson-elementary-school/26434"}
