My students are learning to recognize signs that their bodies are having trouble focusing and calming, and they know that we have tools in our room that they can use. This is the centerpiece of our classroom. We all can gather to learn, share, get cozy and ready or have fun and play a game. The circular spots allow for organized seating and a structured environment. There is enough space for each student in the classroom.\r\n\r\nLast year we got new flooring in the school which was a great update, but it took away the carpet. We still needed a comfortable meeting place where we can gather in partnerships, small groups or as a whole class. The rug has been a huge success and allowed for all these things and more. They are able to be more focused while I am teaching small group because they can get their wiggles out on the wobble stools. Every student benefits, because they every child gets the chance to sit on the stools each week. Some students even choose to sit on the wobble stools to play games with their classmates during playtime. \r\nThank you so much!
