Many of my students struggle with fine motor skills, so tools like the printer and laminator are helping me create durable, hands-on materials that they can use again and again without frustration. For example, I can print and laminate alphabet games, visual schedules, and matching activities that allow my students to practice letters and daily routines in a way that is both accessible and engaging.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students has been using the new sensory bins and ABC games. These give them a chance to learn through touch and play—something that is critical for their development. They are thrilled when they get to \"dig\" for letters in a sensory bin or match laminated pieces that they can hold onto more easily.\r\n\r\nOne student in particular has really warmed to these new materials. He often struggled to stay engaged with paper-and-pencil tasks, but now that he has colorful, tactile pieces to match and explore, he is participating with enthusiasm and pride. Watching him succeed with materials designed to meet his needs has been one of the most rewarding parts of bringing this technology into our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1757540643314,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-life-skills-learning-support/9639611/","projectTitle":"Empowering Life Skills Learning: Support for Special Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Walsh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9232953_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755828203799","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9232953"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26804","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":427,"numTeachers":37,"percentFrplEligible":30,"percentAsian":37,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":40,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"3 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.5,"schoolId":26804,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Glen Grove Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Glen Grove Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/glenview-community-consolidated-school-district-34/glen-grove-elementary-school/26804"}
