They have been so helpful for small group instruction and meeting my students right where they are. I have also been able to lend them to other teachers and so they are impacting students outside my classroom as well!\r\nEach of the books emphasizes a certain skill (like short a vowel sounds, consonant blends, digraphs, or a combination of skills) and these skills all build on each other to help students become strong readers! As they reach each skill and build confidence in their abilities, then they are more and more likely to take those risks on their own. \r\nI have loved being able to see my students notice that they are reading and jump into the adventure of finding words that they can decode in any book.
