The new resources have already made such a positive impact, and I'm excited to share how they are benefiting my students every day.\r\n\r\nWhen the new seating materials first arrived, my students were beyond excited. The look of amazement on their faces when they saw the different options — from comfy cushions to floor desks — was priceless. They couldn't wait to try out the new seating arrangements, and it was clear that this new setup immediately sparked their interest and enthusiasm. Their excitement was contagious, and they quickly began to use the flexible seating to engage in activities more comfortably, with a renewed sense of focus and energy.\r\n\r\nOne specific moment that stands out was during our recent group project animals; with the new seating options, students were able to collaborate more freely and actively as they researched, discussed, and created presentations. The ability to move around the room and choose seats that suited their learning styles allowed them to stay focused and engaged throughout the project. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the next steps for my students will involve further exploration of collaborative and independent projects. The flexible seating will allow them to work in small teams, use materials more effectively, and stay energized as they problem-solve together.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support. You've helped create a learning environment that allows my students to thrive, and I look forward to seeing how they continue to grow and succeed with these new resources.","fullyFundedDate":1727192896270,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-learning-through-flexible-se/8438746/","projectTitle":"Empowering Learning: Through Flexible Seating","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Chavez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9562544"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_27516","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":408,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.9,"schoolId":27516,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about John Gates Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"John Gates Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/east-aurora-school-district-131/john-gates-elementary-school/27516"}
