Your thoughtful donations have truly transformed our Pre-K classroom into a place where curiosity, exploration, and emotional growth thrive every day.\r\nOur classroom is an inclusive environment that welcomes children with diverse learning needs, abilities, and backgrounds. Many of my scholars are experiencing school for the first time, and your contributions have provided them with tools that make learning engaging, meaningful, and accessible for everyone.\r\nBecause of your support, our young scientists are exploring big ideas through hands-on-learning. The solar system rug in our science center has sparked conversations about space and our universe. This simple addition inspired natural curiosity and encouraged them to ask questions, make predictions, and develop early scientific thinking skills.\r\nIn our library, the alphabet rug has become an exciting and interactive way to reinforce early literacy skills. Each week, students proudly locate our \"Letter of the Week\" and connect it to words and stories in their books. These moments strengthen foundational language skills and promote confidence in learning.\r\nBeyond academics, your donations have had a tremendous impact on our students' social and emotional development. The social-emotional storybooks help provide some essential tools in teaching empathy, self-regulation, and emotional awareness. One class favorite, Allie All Along, has empowered students to identify and manage their emotions in positive ways. It's heartwarming to see children using strategies from the story like deep breathing, hugging a stuffed toy, or taking a quiet moment in our calming corner to manage frustration and build resilience.\r\nBecause of your kindness, our \"Rocket Classroom\" continues to soar. You've given our youngest learners not only the resources to explore science but also the emotional tools to navigate their feelings, connect with others, and grow into compassionate, curious learners.\r\nFrom the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making a lasting difference in our classroom and in the lives of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1757172841976,"projectUrl":"project/science-and-social-emotional-resources-f/9477874/","projectTitle":"Science and Social Emotional Resources for the Rocket Room","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wordlaw","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7407628_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756341968566","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7407628"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26207","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":150,"numTeachers":4,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":88,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"37.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":92.3,"schoolId":26207,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Early Childhood Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Early Childhood Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/dolton-riverdale-sch-dist-148/early-childhood-center/26207"}
