I am truly grateful for your gift that allowed me to obtain a Chromebook for my students. You have allowed me to ensure that there will always be a fully-functional device so my students will receive the education to which they are entitled. The students are able to access the general education curriculum using their assistive technology features even when their classroom Chromebooks are not working properly. . \r\nMy students have embedded assistive technology features attached to their Google accounts. You have helped to provide them with uninterrupted access to these. Many of my students listen to challenging texts read aloud, which helps them understand the material more fully and participate with confidence. Others who once struggled to get their ideas onto paper are using voice typing and word prediction to express themselves more clearly and write with greater ease. English learners are benefiting from the picture dictionary and text simplification features, which help them grasp new vocabulary and complex content independently. Students who have difficulty focusing are using reading guides and screen-masking tools to stay engaged without frustration. Assignments are more manageable, as they can highlight, annotate, and organize information directly on their screens.\r\nIt is great to see my students motivated to engage in a way that allows them to experience success on a daily basis. Students who used to hesitate are now reading and writing more. They are taking ownership of their learning in ways I hadn't seen before. Your support has truly helped level the playing field, giving every student access to tools that meet their unique needs. I can't thank you enough for helping make our classroom more inclusive, equitable, and empowering for all.","fullyFundedDate":1746466090524,"projectUrl":"project/access-to-assistive-technology-will-help/9078803/","projectTitle":"Access to Assistive Technology Will Help Us Access the Curriculum","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cassidy, NBCT","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp427196_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1459306562951","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/scassidy"},{"teacherId":3500520,"projectId":9123546,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my students. As the new year starts, I'm excited to introduce my students to our whiteboard routine. Students spend about 15 to 20 minutes every class working on math skills they need. For some students this is reviewing skills they were taught in lower grades. For others, it is learning more advanced skills through video, hints or trial and error. During this time, more than other parts of the math lesson, students are working out complicated problems, and they need somewhere to complete their work.\r\n\r\nI always have lined and blank scratch paper available, but students seem to prefer whiteboards. They enjoy the color and thickness of the lines. They like how mistakes can be completely erased, more than with a pencil and eraser. And they use the grid available on some whiteboard. This is why I'm so happy that I can offer my students beautiful, new, quality person whiteboards. They can pick from a couple different styles, they can pick their color of dry erase marker, and they can easily and quickly show their work.","fullyFundedDate":1744392855724,"projectUrl":"project/help-everyone-show-their-work/9123546/","projectTitle":"Help Everyone Show Their Work","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mazur","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3500520_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1457103216192","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-mazur"},{"teacherId":264133,"projectId":4813166,"letterContent":"Students now have a library of books to choose from- fiction and non fiction when they are finished with a test or ahead on their work. In the project captured in the photos, the square paper challenge, I've been able to demonstrate various sculptural paper techniques.
