Your support made the final weeks of our 2025/2026 school year into an unforgettable celebration of learning, creativity, and community. The daily snacks you provided were a huge hit during our afternoon snack times, keeping student energy and spirits high during the busy lead-up to the end of the year. To wrap things up, the students enjoyed these delicious treats while watching a movie together, which served as a perfect, relaxing reward to celebrate all of their hard work this year.\r\n\r\nThe paint markers also came in handy for our final big project, the Volume Zoo. While I originally planned to use them for an end-of-year affirmative messaging project, I decided it would be best to save that activity for the incoming class this fall so they can set goals and start the new school year on the right foot. Instead, the markers became the star tools for bringing our Volume Zoo animals to life. This project integrated math and science, requiring students to measure boxes and calculate the volume of composite rectangular prisms that were needed to create their animals. Furthermore, they researched and wrote a comprehensive report on their animal. \r\n\r\nThe project culminated in a grand exhibition in the school library, where the students proudly presented their finished animals and reports to parents, school staff, and fellow students. To celebrate the success of their presentations and officially mark the close of the school year, we enjoyed the refreshing ice pops you sent. It was the perfect, sweet reward after all of their hard work. \r\n\r\nThank you for being such an integral part of our classroom community and for helping us close out the school year on such a high note!","fullyFundedDate":1777945896424,"projectUrl":"project/celebrating-success/10241005/","projectTitle":"Celebrating Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. A.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp675451_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1522295007509","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/675451"},{"teacherId":8007297,"projectId":9869104,"letterContent":"This project has already made a difference in my classroom. Your kindness has made a meaningful impact on my work with my pre-K studnets. Having a functional, working laptop has been super helpful to stay on top of my assessments. I'm able to work with students in small groups but can have the laptop nearby to enter observations in real time, and quickly input documentation. This allows for my assessments to be more accurate and thorough. Having immediate access to this information helps me better understand each child's needs and tailor my instruction to support their learning.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the laptop has been an invaluable tool during professional development meetings. I can actively participate, access resources, collaborate with colleagues, and apply new strategies directly to my classroom practices. I'm also able to take it along during lunchtime where I can look over lesson plans, emails, and utilize when I choose to have a working lunch. \r\n\r\nYour donation has not only supported me as an educator, but it has also positively impacted my students by helping ensure they receive thoughtful, data-driven instruction during these critical early learning years. \r\n\r\nI also use the laptop as a learning tool with my students. For example, during snack time one day, my students became curious about where peanuts come from. We were able to look it up together right away, turning a simple moment into an engaging, teachable experience that sparked their curiosity and excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nThe ink for my color printer has also made a big difference in our classroom. It has allowed us to create vibrant posters and visuals for group activities, which we proudly display in the classroom. By creating an \"audio bubble,\" these devices allow students to engage with interactive lessons and spatial audio simulations without the distractions of a busy room. This is particularly transformative for our neurodivergent learners and those with sensory sensitivities, as the noise-canceling technology reduces cognitive load and provides a sense of calm and control. This \"quiet space\" enables students to process information at their own speed, ensuring that no child falls behind simply because the environment felt too loud or overwhelming.\r\n\r\nWhat truly excites the students is the immersive and private nature of this technology, which turns learning into a high-fidelity experience. For our English Language Learners and more introverted students, the built-in microphones have been a game-changer, offering a judgment-free zone to practice pronunciation and build confidence before speaking in front of the class. Because of you, my students are learning in a space that is more organized, engaging, and responsive to their needs.\r\nWe are already using the new materials every single day. The chair pockets have been a wonderful addition to our classroom routine. Each student now has their own special place to keep books, journals, and supplies. One of my favorite moments was watching a student proudly show a classmate how they organized their pocket—something that may seem small, but builds responsibility and independence in a big way.\r\nThe wiggle seat cushions were an instant hit! When the students first saw them, their faces lit up with excitement. Now, students who need to move while learning are able to stay focused during lessons. I've noticed improved attention during circle time and literacy activities, especially for students who previously struggled to sit still.\r\nOur magnetic building tiles and magnetic letter tiles have quickly become classroom favorites. During center time, students work together to build towers, bridges, and creative designs with the magnetic tiles, practicing teamwork and problem-solving. With the magnetic letter tiles, students are enthusiastically building words, exploring letter sounds, and celebrating when they read a word on their own. Hearing a child say, \"I made a word!\" is a moment I never get tired of.\r\n\r\nThe hook and loop dots have helped me create interactive learning centers that I can easily adapt to meet different learning needs. This flexibility allows me to support all learners and keep lessons fresh and engaging.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these materials as we dive deeper into early reading skills, hands-on STEM challenges, and independent learning routines. These resources are helping my students build confidence, independence, and a love of learning—skills they will carry with them far beyond kindergarten.\r\n\r\nMany of my students do not have access to materials like these at home, so your generosity truly makes a lasting difference.
