It has become a favorite in our classroom. I have seen their creativity blossom with the help of the sensory table and sensory toys! The students have pretended that the table is a swimming pool for their toy pets and dolls! They also love using the table to sort different colored translucent toys, build with vibrant magnet tiles to see their colors pop with the light of the light table! They would play there for hours if they were able to and I love that this light sensory table can be used in so many different ways throughout the school year! \r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the new materials they were jumping with joy! Each one of them had huge smiles on their faces and were in awe when I showed them all the fun and creative things we can use the table and toys for. Each student in the classroom has had so many chances to play in the sensory table and each child comes up with their own way to use the toys. We love having such open ended materials to use on a daily basis! I am most excited to see their faces each unit when we switch up the materials inside the light up sensory table. It will keep things interesting in the classroom, creating more chances for engaged learning through play! \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use the sensory light up table with each unit this school year! Soon we will be starting the clothing unit and we will be using buttons to fill the table! Students will be able to explore the colors, the characteristics, and come up with their own ways of using the buttons in the sensory table! During the buildings unit we will be filling the sensory light up table with the orange filler that was donated and we will be pretending that it is the sand for our construction trucks! When we start our exercise unit we will be using the light of the table to explore X-Ray images of different bones in the body! The students are going to get so excited I can already see their faces light up! I know each unit they are going to be looking forward to seeing how we change the materials in the sensory table to make it relate to the topic of conversation. Doing so will give them even more of a chance to build upon unit vocabulary and conversations! \r\n\r\nThe tabel is such a useful piece in our classroom and each day I see the students become more creative because we are able to use it in so many ways each unit! \r\n\r\n My students and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your donation! You have made our classroom a brighter place to play and explore! We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and want you to know you have helped us create such a fun learning environment! Not only are you helping my students this year, but you are helping many students for years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1760587186213,"projectUrl":"project/help-spark-our-curiosity-with-a-light-ta/9619500/","projectTitle":"Help Spark Our Curiosity with a Light Table and Toys!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Albarran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5077446_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758079520119","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5077446"},{"teacherId":10167942,"projectId":9572915,"letterContent":"From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this project possible. Because of your generosity, my kindergarten students now have access to durable headphones and a classroom projector that are already supporting their learning in meaningful ways. These tools have helped create a more structured and supportive learning environment, especially for students who are learning English while continuing to develop their native language, Spanish.\r\n\r\nIn our daily lessons, the projector helps students stay engaged by displaying clear images, stories, and instructional content that make it easier for them to follow along and understand what is being taught. Visual support has been especially helpful for my English learners as they connect spoken language to images. The headphones have also made a positive difference by helping students focus during listening activities. They allow children to work more independently, reduce distractions, and listen carefully to language models, stories, and instructions.\r\n\r\nSince using this new technology, my students have become noticeably more engaged and participative during lessons. They are able to focus more consistently, and classroom distractions have been reduced. The projector's clear images allow lessons to flow smoothly without time being lost to blurry visuals, and the reliable headphones have eliminated many of the audio issues that previously interrupted learning. As a result, we spend more time learning and less time troubleshooting, creating a calmer, more productive environment for my students. Thank you for helping make this positive change possible.","fullyFundedDate":1765205053419,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-see-hear-and-learn-together/9572915/","projectTitle":"Help Us See, Hear, and Learn Together","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Roque","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10167942"},{"teacherId":9022854,"projectId":9267234,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of the care kit to our classroom. Your thoughtful contribution is deeply appreciated and came at a perfect time. I cannot even begin to explain the excitement on their faces as soon as the items arrived. They were extremely grateful to have new materials that would cater to their needs and interests. The students explained that they were never given materials such as this in their entire school year. \r\n\r\nWith a majority of these materials students were able to access their creative sides. When working on projects, they were able to add more dimension to what they were originally presenting. These materials also allowed for myself as their teacher to cater towards creating work that would help students progress towards their individual IEP goals. Everything allowed us a whole to be well organized, creative, and excited for the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1733250093797,"projectUrl":"project/project-309/8735095/","projectTitle":"Project 309","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Castillo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9689778_orig.jpg?crop=2426,2426,x0,y129&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1725477839380","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9689778"},{"teacherId":3227804,"projectId":8309005,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity.
