Your support has made a meaningful difference in the daily lives of my young learners, and I couldn't be more grateful.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, our classroom now has more flexible seating options that allow my students to move, wiggle, and stay engaged while they learn. \r\n\r\nMany of my students have difficulty sitting still for long periods of time, and traditional chairs just weren't meeting their needs. I noticed that some would get up frequently, fidget, or even struggle to concentrate during important lessons. Students who once struggled to stay seated are now better able to remain focused, and their energy is being channeled into learning instead of constant movement.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on their faces when they saw the new chairs for the first time was priceless. It was an incredible moment to witness, and it wouldn't have happened without your kindness and generosity.\r\n\r\nYour donation contributed to a learning environment that supports the physical and emotional well-being of each child. \r\n\r\nI hope you know how much your contribution means to me and my students--for years to come. When my students first saw the chick hatching materials, their eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity. They were full of questions—\"Are there real eggs?\" \"Will we see baby chicks?\"—and immediately became engaged in the process. The incubator especially sparked wonder, and many of them eagerly gathered around, fascinated by the idea that something could be growing inside. Their enthusiasm set the tone for the entire project and made it a highly anticipated and meaningful experience.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new chick hatching resources as an interactive and hands-on learning experience woven into our daily routine. The incubator and related materials have become a centerpiece in our classroom, sparking meaningful discussions, observations, and questions. My students are taking turns monitoring the temperature and humidity, counting down the days until hatching, and recording their observations in simple journals or drawings. We're also incorporating books, songs, and videos about chicks and life cycles to deepen their understanding. These resources are helping us explore science, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills in a fun and memorable way.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students in our current chick hatching project include continuing to monitor the incubator daily, observing any changes in the eggs, and preparing for hatch day by learning about the signs of hatching. As we get closer to day 21, students will create prediction charts about which egg might hatch first and what the chicks will look like. Once the chicks begin to hatch, we'll shift our focus to gentle observation, journaling their behavior, and learning how to care for them—feeding, providing water, and making sure they stay warm and safe. We'll also begin discussions about where the chicks will go afterward and reflect on what we've learned throughout the experience.","fullyFundedDate":1734308072621,"projectUrl":"project/in-our-school-we-had-some-chicks-e-i-e-/8865478/","projectTitle":"In Our School We Had Some Chicks, E-I-E-I-O","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Merrick","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4036195_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1533779329156","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4036195"},{"teacherId":49121,"projectId":8554156,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity.
