Many of them had never seen one before, and their faces lit up as they began imagining all the creative projects we could bring to life.\r\nWe've already started using the Cricut in our classroom to design and cut personalized materials for projects. For example, during a recent reading unit, students created custom bookmarks and posters that highlighted the central idea and key details from their favorite texts. Having the ability to design, cut, and produce their own creations has taken their engagement to a whole new level—they're not only learning, but they're also taking pride in showcasing their work in unique and professional ways.\r\nOne special moment came when a student who is usually very shy shared the bookmark she designed with the class. She had incorporated both her artwork and text from the story we were studying, and the Cricut allowed her to turn her idea into something tangible and polished. Her confidence soared, and her classmates celebrated her creativity.\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to use the Cricut to create visual aids, classroom displays, and student-led projects that connect reading, writing, and art. Students are especially excited about designing bulletin boards and collaborative projects where every group contributes a piece to the final product.\r\nThanks to your generosity, our classroom is more creative, hands-on, and inspiring than ever. You didn't just give us a machine—you opened up endless opportunities for students to explore their ideas and take ownership of their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1745847078184,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-reading-to-life-creative-hand/9146380/","projectTitle":"Bringing Reading to Life: Creative, Hands-On Literacy with a Cricut!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Savage","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1536021"},{"teacherId":9175486,"projectId":8891311,"letterContent":"I am grateful for your generosity in providing my classroom with an interactive whiteboard! When my students walked in and saw it for the first time, their eyes lit up with excitement. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were immediate—they couldn't wait to interact with the new technology. It has transformed our learning environment, making lessons more engaging and dynamic.\r\n\r\nWe have already incorporated the whiteboard into our daily routine, making a difference. During a recent lesson on text features, my students could directly highlight captions, diagrams, and headings on the screen. They worked together to match features with their correct definitions in an interactive game, making the learning process fun and memorable. The whiteboard has also allowed us to explore virtual field trips, play educational games, and collaborate in ways we never could.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we will continue using this incredible tool to bring lessons to life, from interactive math activities to guided reading exercises. This whiteboard has provided my students with new opportunities to engage with content in a way that meets their diverse learning needs.
