Over the last week, our \"zen den\" has undergone quite a transformation! Students and staff notice the change immediately upon entering. \r\n\r\nPictured are the before/after pictures. As you can see, the investments made in this project make our space look and feel completely different. Since acquiring these resources, dozens of students have enjoyed our space during individual and group sessions. Students have especially enjoyed the furry rug. A few students have even found themselves sprawling out on the rug doing \"snow angels\" on it -- that's how cozy it is! The felt bulletin board really spruces up our room! The white board behind it isn't magnetic. It also has parts peeled. In other words... it's old and gross! The felt board truly makes our space feel more modernized, and it looks beautiful with some of the decor we added. \r\n\r\nThe space itself is a basement-level room filled with pipes on the ceiling (we rent our school building from the Catholic church). These materials have helped to modernize our space and make it much more homey feeling. We are so grateful! These investments will last for years to come! We have been hard at work exploring the seven elements of art since receiving the materials! Your contributions have given our art studio some exciting new mediums to explore, more opportunities for choice-based learning, and endless ways for my students' creative sides to shine through. We've been putting all our new materials to use and the outcome has been so exciting to see as a first year educator. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your investment in our middle school art experience here at Bridge!","fullyFundedDate":1756241381651,"projectUrl":"project/support-our-choice-based-art-program/9519012/","projectTitle":"Support our Choice-Based Art Program!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Charnota","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10102288_orig.jpg?crop=2232,2232,x941,y1499&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755907325586","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10102288"},{"teacherId":1050715,"projectId":9680751,"letterContent":"Your generous donation has made all the difference already! In just a few short weeks, multiple students (about 100 across grades K-8) have had access to these fidgets and Legos! \r\n\r\nMy students are Lego OBSESSED! The green lego-shaped bin is a fun way to store all the Lego (knockoff) pieces we acquired through this DonorsChoose project. And the 8 baseboards have come in handy to divide them amongst two counseling spaces! My students love to fidget with it and build their own fun creations with the Legos. \r\n\r\nThe Spongebob fidget cube is being used as an incentive for a student who receives special education services and needs a little extra boost for motivation to remain on-task and school-appropriate. This has been an excellent incentive for him to work towards, and I am most appreciative!! He also loves playing the glow-in-the-dark Connect 4 set that you helped us acquire! \r\n\r\nSo many students are obsessed with the magnet fidgets. The sensory stones have been a godsend with one of my student with Autism. \r\n\r\nYou have NO idea how much help you have provided across two campuses.
