Because of you, we now have a large dry erase board and a wonderful set of multi-colored dry erase markers that have truly transformed our learning space.\r\n \tI teach ELA and Writing. We have a color coding system for answering questions and supporting our answer with evidence from the text we read. The colored dry erase markers are allowing this to be happy flawlessly.\r\nThe new board has quickly become a central part of our learning environment. The color-coded markers have allowed me to model writing and organizational strategies in a way that helps students visually connect ideas and better understand complex concepts.\r\n Your support has brought so much excitement to our classroom. It's amazing how these simple tools have made such a big difference in how my students are learning.\r\n Thank you for believing in my students and for helping make our classroom a brighter, more inspiring place to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1754341246441,"projectUrl":"project/white-board-wonder/9372428/","projectTitle":"White Board Wonder","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Engel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10041309_orig.png?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753916601061","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10041309"},{"teacherId":9848101,"projectId":9300804,"letterContent":"My students were thrilled to see the clip boards and white board paddles when they came in! We have used then countless times for review games and discussions. It makes it very easy for the students to bring their work around the room or outside to the courtyard as well! The first time we used the clipboards, we took them outside to complete a light wave lab. In addition to the lab itself, the students were able to watch the light travel through the translucent surfaces and alter the rays as well. \r\n\r\nI am beginning to use the rainbow table more frequently now, as well. Creating a smaller group setting that seems separate from the rest of the room has allowed me to work with individual students on a more personal level rather than squeezing a chair next to them at their current seat. Overall, this project has greatly improved my classroom setting and I am ecstatic to see how my students continue to grow.","fullyFundedDate":1747157024663,"projectUrl":"project/collaboration-and-discussions-all-year/9300804/","projectTitle":"Collaboration and Discussions All Year","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cooper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9848101_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753165449418","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9848101"},{"teacherId":9848101,"projectId":9479451,"letterContent":"Your contribution to my classroom has been more beneficial than you know. This has led to a tremendous increase in scores and moral as well! \r\n\r\nEvery time a student first sees the \"secret snacks cabinet,\" their jaws hit the floor! By recording book talks and podcast-style lesson discussions, they are developing stronger speaking, listening, and collaboration skills. Using this technology has helped them think more deeply about what they are reading, while also encouraging them to organize their ideas clearly for an audience. Instead of just writing about a book, they are now producing engaging discussions that showcase their understanding in a creative and modern format.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the chance to use equipment that feels authentic—microphones, headphones, and recording tools that mirror what professionals use. This makes learning feel more meaningful, and it motivates them to put extra effort into their work. Students love listening back to their recordings, noticing how they can improve their delivery, and taking pride in sounding like real podcasters.\r\n\r\nOne student who usually shies away from sharing in front of the class has found a new confidence behind the microphone. With the ability to rehearse, record, and re-record, they feel comfortable expressing their ideas without the pressure of speaking live. Others who are passionate readers now have an outlet to share their excitement with peers in a way that sparks new interest in books across the classroom.
