These tools have significantly enhanced our daily learning experience. The portable chargers ensure that our devices stay powered throughout the day, allowing students to engage in uninterrupted learning, especially during research projects and online assessments. The headphone sets have been a game-changer during our independent language learning sessions. Students can now immerse themselves in interactive bilingual programs without distractions, promoting better focus and comprehension. The printer allows us to create and print student work, graphic organizers, and other instructional materials on demand, while the sharpener keeps our supplies in top shape for note-taking and artistic projects.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments occurred when the students first saw the new materials. Their eyes lit up with excitement, and many could not wait to try the headphones and see how they worked. Some students immediately recognized how much easier it would be to focus during lessons that required listening activities. One student exclaimed, \"Now I can hear every word clearly!\" Their enthusiasm was contagious, and it sparked a conversation about how these tools would support their learning. Seeing their genuine excitement reaffirmed the value of having high-quality resources to support diverse learning needs in a dual-language environment.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are working on a collaborative multimedia project where students create bilingual digital presentations on community heroes. With the portable chargers and headphones, students can research community figures online, access language-learning tools, and record voiceovers in both English and Spanish. The printer will allow students to produce physical versions of their project materials to share with family and display in the classroom. Our next steps will focus on teaching students how to use these tools independently, fostering greater ownership of their learning. We plan to incorporate self-checklists for using headphones and managing device power to build executive functioning skills. These resources have opened new possibilities for creativity, collaboration, and independence in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1730916406827,"projectUrl":"project/contribute-to-a-successful-school-year/8502987/","projectTitle":"Contribute to a Successful School Year!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Garcia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6600962"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_30028","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":462,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":77,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":64.4,"schoolId":30028,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Thomas Jefferson Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Thomas Jefferson Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/berwyn-north-school-district-98/thomas-jefferson-elementary-school/30028"}
