A couple of items that have been purchased include types of sentences task cards as well as sentence structure task cards. These two activities are allowing students to identify various sample sentences as either declarative, imperative, interrogative, or exclamatory or identifying them as simple, compound, or complex sentences. The students enjoyed practicing with these task cards because they had to get up and move around the room. It kept them engaged and learning all at the same time. \r\n\r\n In addition, I also have been able to purchase additional reading units to help expand students' knowledge in realistic fiction. This will allow the students to use a mentor text to learn the concepts and then transfer the concepts to their own independent novel. It will also use the Socratic seminar method that will allow students to respond to an open-ended question. I can't wait to hear all the class discussions we will have using this resource.","fullyFundedDate":1778001493274,"projectUrl":"project/an-engaging-curriculum/10249899/","projectTitle":"An Engaging Curriculum","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Marques","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp533962_orig.jpg?crop=639,639,x0,y264&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1603850551578","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/533962"},{"teacherId":533962,"projectId":9545742,"letterContent":"Thank you for supporting my students and my classroom. My students are able to now read comfortably instead of continuously sitting at their hard desks to read.
