So far I have set up two different scenes- one for alphabet review and the other for counting. For alphabet review I filled the table with dried beans and alphabet puzzle pieces. Using scoops and jars the kids hunted for letters and matched upper to lowercase letters. \r\n\r\nFor counting practice I switched the table to a winter theme with \"snowballs\" mixed in with penguin figurines and candy cane toys. The kids rolled a number cube and used oversized tweezers to count out that many of one of the items in the table. \r\n\r\nBoth activities were a huge hit and a great chance to practice skills we are learning in class in a tactile and engaging way.
