They have not only made our little library more comfy and inviting for all levels of readers, but are so useful throughout the learning in our day! We are a one room school where Kindergarten through 6th grade students come to learn. We generally have around 20 to 25 students total each year. The children have used these cushions daily throughout the day to enhance their learning.\r\n\r\nWe put five of the cushions in our little library. We have Kindergarten and first grade students in the classroom that also includes our little library. Throughout the day the children can go into our comfy library and relax while reading a book. They share their reading with each other while lounging comfortably. We have noticed reading has become a more calming and engaging activity because they are snug and comfortable. This area is now more calming. If someone is having a bad day and needs a moment to relax and decompress, this is a place they can go. As they relax, they are surrounded by books and natural light on a comfortable snug cushion. A friend can comfortably join them and help them. \r\n\r\nWe put the other five cushions in the room with the 2nd-6th grade children. The children move them around the room as they work on reading, research, and other learning activities. They can share the cushions and work as teams. Again, this has made a new opportunity for children who learn better other than at their desk or the table. The great thing about these cushions is that they fold, so children can easily place their writing, book, or computer on their lap. The other end can fold so they have a back to lean on or put their head.\r\n\r\nThese cushions are such a great addition. I can remove the pillows and wash them. They seem durable and are non-skid. It has been a fun alternative when we watch our science and social studies clips on the screen for them to share the cushions and watch.
