It was a big hit when it arrived and we started getting successful prints. My students have become very motivated to reach their goals so they can choose a 3D print option. The 3D prints have also increased their team spirit with the house system. When they choose a 3D print of their house animal or house key chain, they get even more excited about being a part of their house.\r\n\tAfter a few weeks of having this 3D printer, I had a student who chose a 3D print of a house animal that wasn't from his house, but he chose it as a gift for his sister and her house. This also led to discussions about kindness, house spirit, and it increased the \"four houses - one family\" motto. Even our principal was impressed with how well our house spirit has increased.\r\nThe 3D printer has also helped with writing skills. My students were tasked with writing a descriptive paragraph. Some of them chose to write about their 3D printed animal. Their stories included details about every part of the 3D print and it helped them choose the right adjectives in their story. \r\nTwo of my students have been diagnosed with ADHD. I was able to do a 3D print of different types of fidgets. These fidgets were used to help those two students focus during different parts of the day. I noticed a big difference in the way these two students got their work done. They really enjoyed having something special from the 3D printer. \r\nThis printer has helped us in so many ways. We will continue to explore and come up with different ways that the 3D prints can be helpful to us.","fullyFundedDate":1763650691913,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printer-project-palooza/9842252/","projectTitle":"3D Printer Project Palooza!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Robbins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10225532_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y256&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762184234195","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10225532"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_94910","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":761,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":23,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":74,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"28.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":57.5,"schoolId":94910,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Vision Public Charter School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Vision Public Charter School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/idaho/idaho-department-of-education/vision-public-charter-school/94910"}
