The scooter boards for outdoor play, loose parts for creative exploration, alphabet and number sets, loop scissors, cookie cutters for play dough, and a variety of art supplies—including bleeding tissue paper, colorful tape, paint brushes, and construction paper—have greatly enriched our learning environment. These resources have expanded both our indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.\r\n\r\nThese materials had a positive impact on student learning by supporting physical development, creativity, and early academic skills. Scooter boards and loose parts encouraged active movement, cooperation, and problem-solving during outdoor play. The art supplies allowed children to experiment with color, texture, and design, promoting self-expression and creativity.\r\n\r\nBecause of these materials, we were able to implement more engaging, hands-on lessons and small-group activities tailored to students' developmental needs. We absolutely loved the flexible seating options that we were gifted, for our classroom. They were one of our favorite choices each week, when we chose new seating areas to work and learn from. \r\nEveryone that visited our classroom said that it had a very welcoming, vibrant, and fun atmosphere, where they could tell a lot of learning was taking place. Even though we are only second graders, being able to choose where and who we wanted to sit with every week, taught us to make strong choices for ourselves, and to be responsible and organized with our supplies. The trust and the freedom that we experienced this year made us not only better advocates for ourselves, but better people. We learned to work together and to dialog and problem solve, and our classroom felt like home, comfortable and cozy.
