These new books allow us to teach advanced skills like critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning, and they significantly boost student vocabulary and reading fluency across all genres. Our daily routine now includes read alouds from the new collection and focused independent reading, creating a culture of choice and engagement. \r\n\r\nThe most rewarding impact is on the students themselves: we've seen personal breakthroughs, with formerly reluctant readers discovering a love for graphic novels. The rolling whiteboard in particular has been so useful in the classroom and my students were excited to use it. I appreciate how much extra white board space it provides us with, especially since I have been able to implement a positive affirmation station that I've been wanting to use, but had no space for. My students like seeing the different affirmations on the board and putting their names under one every morning that they come in to the classroom. It helps to create a positive environment where everyone feels good about themselves. I look forward to changing out the different affirmations on a monthly basis. \r\n Since the rolling whiteboard has two sides, we have been using the other side as additional space for vertical white boards when students do BTC (math, ELA, etc.), something that they are always excited about. They appreciate how much space each group has and I don't worry about them accidentally erasing writing that I have on my other whiteboards. The easel greatly contributes to this as well and, as someone who does not like clutter, I love how I can fold it and put it away when it is not in use. \r\n Having more space will allow my students do do BTC more often, thus building their understanding of important concepts and having the opportunity to engage in academic discussions and acquire more vocabulary. Your thoughtfulness and generosity will continue to make an impact on the learning of my students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1742078168807,"projectUrl":"project/we-need-more-space-building-thinking-cl/9161664/","projectTitle":"We Need More Space!
